At Bisnow’s Bay Area Hospitality Summit, Eddie Yu will share how owners can reposition well-located assets as the region’s hotel market rebounds.
Ohana Real Estate Investors Partner and Head of Acquisitions Eddie Yu will join a panel of hotel owners, operators, and designers at Bisnow’s Bay Area Hospitality Summit on Thursday, November 5, in San Francisco. Eddie will speak on “Adaptive Reuse, Renovations, and the Next Wave of Value-Add Hospitality Strategy,” a conversation with leaders across the hospitality industry about how owners and operators are reimagining existing properties for the next generation of guests.
Why It Matters
The Bay Area hospitality market is in the midst of a meaningful rebound. San Francisco Travel forecasts hotel RevPAR growth of more than 14% in 2026, with occupancy above 70%, while new hotel construction across the region remains limited. For owners, that combination puts a premium on well-located existing assets — and on the ability to reposition them thoughtfully.
Drawing on Ohana’s work at Claremont Resort & Club, the historic Berkeley Hills resort Ohana acquired in 2023 and relaunched as an independent property, Eddie will discuss how owners can unlock value in iconic assets without losing what makes them special. He’ll also cover the role of experiential programming in driving demand and how to underwrite value-add investments in a high-cost, supply-constrained market.
