Mr. Yu to lead firmwide acquisition strategy and capital deployment initiatives
AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 14, 2026 — Ohana Real Estate Investors (Ohana), a vertically integrated real estate investment manager, announced today the promotion of Eddie Yu to Partner, Head of Acquisitions. In this expanded leadership role, Mr. Yu will oversee the firm’s acquisition strategy across hospitality and residential investments, driving the sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and execution of new investment opportunities.
Mr. Yu joined Ohana in 2018 as a founding member of the Investments team, helping institutionalize the firm’s investment approach while executing new equity and debt strategies. His promotion underscores the central role his leadership plays as Ohana expands its platform across strategies and market cycles.

Mr. Yu has maintained a key role in advancing Ohana’s acquisitions efforts, contributing to the sourcing and execution of investments across multiple markets and asset types. In his new role, he will spearhead and oversee all acquisitions initiatives for the firm, as well as work closely with the asset management team to ensure alignment across the investment lifecycle.

Prior to joining Ohana, Mr. Yu served on the Investments team at CIM Group, following the start of his career as an investment banking analyst in the M&A group at RBS. Mr. Yu graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Columbia University and obtained a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management/Northwestern School of Law, and is a member of the State Bar of California.
