Famularo brings nearly 20 years of experience in investment management and strategic leadership.
AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 4, 2024 — Ohana Real Estate Investors (Ohana), a vertically integrated real estate investment firm, announced today the promotion of Franco Famularo to the position of President, effective immediately. Mr. Famularo served as Chief Investment Officer prior to this promotion and will continue in this role in addition to his expanded oversight of the firm’s investment management business.
Mr. Famularo joined Ohana in 2015 as the first dedicated investment professional and has helped build the investment management business from the ground up over the past nine years. Under his strategic leadership, the firm has launched five equity and credit fund vehicles, navigated through the global pandemic, and experienced significant growth, culminating in an excess of $3 billion in assets under management1.

Prior to joining Ohana, Mr. Famularo was a Principal at Blackstone in New York, where he focused on opportunistic and distressed investing across multiple property types. He also served as an advisor to Starrett Companies, a residential and commercial real estate investment platform that was a Blackstone portfolio company. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Mr. Famularo serves on the Board of Directors for Montage International.
