Ohana Real Estate Investors Announces Sale of Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa

In partnership with the Hyatt team, Ohana made strategic enhancements across the 650-acre resort’s broad amenity set.

AUSTIN, Texas, October 22, 2025 – Ohana Real Estate Investors (Ohana) announced today the sale of Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa, a sprawling 490-key resort in Cedar Creek, Texas. The property has been acquired by a private family office following notable upgrades and operational enhancements implemented during Ohana’s four years of ownership.

Since acquiring the 650-acre resort, Ohana has taken an active approach to asset management of the property, leveraging its internal team of hospitality experts to identify opportunities to drive demand with a focus on enhancing the resort’s guest experience and profitability. Key value-enhancing initiatives included operational improvements and upgrades to the resort’s amenities as well as rebranding and renovating the resort’s five restaurants.

“Through a disciplined approach to asset management and the partnership of the esteemed Hyatt team, we were able to solidify the property as a premier destination in the market,” said Franco Famularo, President and Chief Investment Officer of Ohana. “We’re proud of the efforts we’ve been able to make during our ownership, and look forward to the successful next chapter for this exceptional resort.”

A pivotal component of the capital improvement plan was the addition of the Event Barn, a 9,600-square-foot meeting and event space completed in 2025. This new venue considerably expanded the resort’s meeting and event capacity, catering to the growing demand for unique, large-scale functions and further diversifying the property’s revenue streams.

“The Event Barn was a pivotal addition that significantly strengthened the resort’s appeal for group and event business,” said James Cole, Partner and Head of Asset Management at Ohana. “Its development reflects our team’s commitment to identifying enhancement opportunities and demonstrates our specialized expertise in executing successful improvement strategies.”

Located along the Colorado River just outside Austin, Texas, Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa offers a myriad of experiences and adventures in the heart of Texas Hill Country. The property’s diverse amenity set for both leisure and business guests includes an Arthur Hills-designed golf course, The Spa at Lost Pines, five restaurants, an extensive lazy river and water park, as well as over 300,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space.
